An Autographed Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) David Prowse (Dave Prowse) was an English actor from the 1960s to the 2010s. He is best remembered for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy (he was inside the suit, but the voice was that of James Earl Jones). Prowse's relationship with Lucasfilm and George Lucas was frayed, and in July 2010, he was banned by Lucas from attending official Star Wars fan conventions. George Lucas had reportedly given Prowse no reason, other than stating that Prowse "burnt too many bridges" between Lucasfilm and himself. Some of his other movies include: Jabberwocky, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (in the title role as the monster), and Callan. Prowse passed away in 2020 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by David Prowse! Note that this autographed item (and many others in this set of auctions, all of which have this same paragraph on them) come from the collection of a man who recently passed away. He was confined to a wheelchair, but that did not stop him from attending all of the major collectible shows in the Northeast, including the Chiller Conventions! He would obtain many signed items from the celebrities in attendance (they sometimes personalized the autographs to him, and his name was "Jimmy"), and he also purchased a few signed items from celebrities through the mail. In the case of the items purchased through the mail, he would usually also get a "certificate of authenticity".
