An Autographed 2 3/4" x 4" [7 x 10 cm] Bookplate (Learn More) Richard Wilbur was a poet and literary translator from the 1950s to the 2000s. In 1987, he was appointed the second Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress. He also received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1957 and again in 1989. Wilbur passed away in 2017 at the age of 96. Important Added Info: This bookplate has been personally autographed (signed) by Richard Wilbur. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who regularly attended the Chiller collectible show. This signed item (and the others offered from this collector) were purchased at a Chiller convention over the years. In some cases, he had them signed by the celebrity when they appeared in person at the show, and in other cases, he purchased them from Kevin Clement, who runs the Chiller shows, and in all cases, he (and we) believe this signature is authentic.
