A Linenbacked Spanish Travel Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 36 1/2" [62 x 93 cm]) (Learn More) Sevilla: Semana Santa (literally translates to "Seville: Holy Week"), the 1952 Spanish travel poster encouraging people to visit the Spanish city of Seville during Semana Santa de Sevilla (Holy Week in Seville), which is one of the city's two biggest annual festivals. It is celebrated in the week leading up to Easter and features the procession of pasos (floats of lifelike wooden sculptures). Note that this poster features Ruiz Vela art of a parade float and men wearing robes and capirotes (conical hats). Note that the costumes the men wore (with the robes and capirotes) make them look very much like U.S. KKK members, but we are certain that is a complete coincidence!
