An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Key Book Still (Learn More) Girl Without a Room, the 1933 Ralph Murphy Paris France artist painter romantic musical comedy ("She had no bed of her own!") starring Charles Farrell, Charlie Ruggles, Marguerite Churchill, Gregory Ratoff, Grace Bradley, Walter Woolf King (billed as "Walter Woolf"), and Mischa Auer. This seems to be an extremely odd movie! It is a musical, and yet, there are next-to-no songs in it. Pretty Marguerite Churchill appears early on in the movie as the title character, and yet she pretty much disappears early on. The main plot concerns a struggling artist who goes to Paris, but no one there likes his paintings, and so he begins painting "modern art", and one of his paintings is hailed a masterpiece, only they have hung it upside-down! Still, the one-sheet poster for this movie is one of the all-time great movie posters, and this window card (which I have never seen before) is also a masterpiece, with great art of sexy Churchill half-dressed and sitting on painter Charles Farrell's artist's palette! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still. Condition: very good. The left 1" was neatly trimmed off (see above). Otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
