John Williams is a composer from the 1950s to the present. He is best remembered for composing the iconic music to Star Wars, but he did the music for many, many wonderful movies, including Jaws, the Indiana Jones series, Jurassic Park, Superman, and Schindler's List. He's won an astonishing five Academy Awards for his film scores (and was nominated over 45 times). As of 2021, Williams is still alive at the age of 89!

Important Added Info: Note that this 8x10 (taken by Lincoln Russell) was created in 1983, when John Williams conducted the Boston Pops Orchestra in Boston, Massachusetts (he had been named its conductor in January 1980). They sent out this photo to media outlets. The photo comes together with a biography of John Williams printed on Boston Pops stationery, and the envelope it was mailed in, which has a mailing label from them (see our images).
