Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More)

War Dogs, the 1943 William Hanna & Joseph Barbera (Hanna-Barbera) World War II (WWII) military canine dog animated cartoon comedy short (produced by Fred Quimby; this is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon parody adaptation of "Buck Privates"; it is about the dogs that were used in the military, and it follows one particularly inept dog through the canine version of "basic training"). It has a Tex Avery-like feel to it, and either Hanna and Barbera were intentionally imitating Tex Avery, or perhaps he had a hand in creating this, because he worked at MGM at this time, and had just created "Blitz Wolf" (but if so, he is not credited on this cartoon). If anyone knows more about this short, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. There are a few minor creases in the foldlines. There are a few pinholes in the top corners. There is tiny piece out of the center of the bottom border. There is minor smudging in the top and bottom borders.
