An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Candid Microphone, the 1949 series of comedy shorts based on Allen Funt's radio program ("Movies' most intriguing short!"; "Filmed with concealed cameras!"; "Another laugh-filled entertainment thrill!"; many people are not aware that prior to his extremely successful TV show, "Candid Camera", Allen Funt had a very successful radio show called "Candid Microphone"). Columbia Pictures made a series of short subjects based on the radio show (we are not sure if they stuck with the radio premise, or switched to what became the basis of the TV show, which certainly made more sense!), which no doubt led to the start of the television program, which ran for many years, and Funt's son, Peter, had a new version of the show in recent years. Note that this is for one specific entry in this series of shorts. Apparently, Columbia made individual lobby cards and one-sheets for every entry, but they are incredibly rare! The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some small tears and tiny paper loss on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
