An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Carolina Moon, the 1940 Frank McDonald singing cowboy western musical starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, June Storey, Mary Lee, Jimmie Lewis and His Texas Cowboys, Hardie Albright, Etta McDaniel, Paul White, and the Hall Johnson Choir. Note that this movie was slightly different than other B-westerns of the era, in that in this one, Autry and Frog help elderly plantation owners, and there are several musical numbers performed by the black African American Hall Johnson Choir. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had some creases, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with tape stains in the corners and some pinholes and small tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
