An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27" x 39 1/2" [69 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Zigeunerbaron (released in the U.S. as "The Gypsy Baron"), the 1935 Karl Hartl German romantic musical melodrama (based on an opperetta by Johann Strauss) starring Anton Walbrook (billed as "Adolf Wohlbruck"), Hansi Knoteck, Fritz Kampers, Gina Falckenberg, and Rudolf Platte. Note that this is one of five movies that were based on this operetta! Also note that Anton Walbrook's birth name was Adolf Anton Wilhelm Wohlbruck, and he appeared in many 1930s German movies, billed as "Adolf Wohlbruck", but he fled Nazi Germany in 1937 and settled in England, where he understandably changed his name!
