Artist: Al Hirschfeld Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this window card (which has a different image from the one-sheet) before! It has a really embarrassing typo that was corrected. Someone in the poster department spelled Kay Kyser's last name as "Kayser", and no one caught it until after the card was printed, so they stenciled it with silver paint over the typo and then black paint with the correct spelling! We wonder if someone got fired over that. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. The card has a typo that was corrected with a stencil (see above). This would have been done at the studio, and is not a defect. We don't know if any cards exist without the typo or without the correction, because we have never auctioned this before, and we could not find another example of it on the Internet! The card has brown tape on the front and back of the top right blank corner, where there was some small paper loss, and there are tears in the top blank border and two in the right border.
