An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Port-Arthur (released in the U.S. in 1941 as "Orders From Tokyo"), the 1936 Nicolas Farkas French Russo-Japanese War melodrama ("A Thrilling Drama Of Russian Heroism vs. Japanese Treachery."; based on the novel by Pierre Frondaie) starring Danielle Darrieux, Anton Walbrook, Charles Vanel, Jean-Max, and Jean Worms. Note that this is a bizarre movie! This is the French-language version of the film, and there was also a German-language version which was filmed at the same time. Both versions were directed by Nicolas Farkas and starred Anton Walbrook. This French-language version was released in the U.S. under the title "Orders From Tokyo" in 1941 by A.F.E. Pictures. We have also seen a 1940 U.S. lobby card from Columbia studio that was titled "I Give My Life", which was the title used for the Australian (perhaps English as well) release. Perhaps the lobby card is from an aborted U.S. release? If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. There is tattering along the foldlines and edges of the poster with a few brown tape repairs on the back. There is a tear in the tagline area at top center that has also been repaired with brown tape from the back. Learn More about condition grades
