R77 Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Thirty by Forty Movie Poster (measures 30" x 40") (Learn More) Papillon, the classic 1973 Franklin J. Schaffner French/U.S. prison escape crime adventure thriller ("The greatest adventure of escape!", "The greatest adventure of escape ever filmed!"; "Two men with nothing in common but a will to live and a place to die."; "Based on the book by Henri Charriere"; about the only man to ever escape from the famous French prison "Devil's Island") starring Steve McQueen (in the title role as as Henri 'Papillon' Charriere), Dustin Hoffman (as Louis Dega), Victor Jory, Don Gordon, and Anthony Zerbe NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. There is blue ink in the lower left blank border (almost surely a printing defect). There are minor creases in the blank borders.. Note that this poster was never folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult!
