A Folded Advertising Poster (measures 17" x 22" [43 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked hero created by Jack Wrather in 1933 for a radio show in Detroit. The Lone Ranger was a former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto, and his trusty horse Silver. The radio show was very popular and the character was soon featured in books, comics, TV shows, and several movies (including two serials from 1938 and 1939). The best known incarnation of this character was in the 1949-1957 TV series starring Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
