Date Sold 3/14/2013 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) The Green Pastures, the 1936 Marc Connelly & William Keighley black African American religious fantasy melodrama (depicting a "black heaven", where only black people went after death, as apparently discrimination in 1936 did not end even at the grave; the movie must be seen to be believed!) starring Rex Ingram (as Adam, De Lawd, and Hezdrel), Oscar Polk (as Gabriel), Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson ( as Noah), Myrtle Anderson (as Eve), Al Stokes (as Cain), and Edna Mae Harris (as Zeba) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that two of these great candids show Marc Connelly and William Keighley standing by cages holding many of the animals used for the film's Noah's Ark sequence (plus one with two uncaged camels). The fourth still shows a man making miniatures of animals that they obviously used for special effects during that same sequence. Condition: very good to fine. The stills are in nice condition!
