An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 247 pages) (Learn More) She, the classic 1935 Irving Pichel & Lansing C. Holden lost civilization adventure fantasy melodrama ("Millions have called it 'the strangest love story ever written or dreamed of'... the story of a woman who bath in fire and learned the secret of continued youth. So wicked that a kingdom quailed before her... so human that one touch of loved transformed her! Centuries of self desire burning in her shining eyes... and she found her first love at this very hour!"; "A wonder of stagecraft!"; "Merian C. Rider Haggard's amazing character comes thrillingly to life in one of the most gigantic spectacle dramas ever filmed!"; "Merian C. Cooper's astounding romantic spectacle from H. Rider Haggard's weird and wondrous 'SHE'"; "Mistress of the secret of eternal youth, she used her power over men!"; "Millions have called it 'the strangest love story ever written' ...Henry Rider Haggard's weird and wondrous romance of a woman incredible... cast on the background of scenes unbelievable!"; "See it as the most gigantic spectacle drama ever produced...!"; "From H. Note that this is the only movie Broadway actress Helen Gahagan made. Afterwards, she married actor Melvyn Dougas, becoming Helen Gahagan Douglas, and later became a two-term member of the House of Representatives. She ran for Senator against Richard Nixon, but lost, but she did get even with him by frequently using his nickname, "Tricky Dick"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the largest scripts I have ever seen! It measures approximately 1 1/2" thick! One reason it measures that much is that there are lots of pages bound into the script that are on a heavier stock paper that show artwork images of how individual scenes are intended to look (I imagine this was done to give the actors inspiration on how to play that scene). Many of the artwork images are of cool fantasy scenes. Note that this script is the revised final draft from March 5, 1935 and the screenplay was written by H. Rider Haggard, Ruth Rose, and Dudly Nichols Condition: fair to good. The script had some slight water staining on the covers and the first few interior pages and the last few. Something occurred at some point that took a corner off of around 80 of the interior pages, but it is solely the bottom right blank corner of each of those pages. Something else caused paper loss in the last 6 pages, resulting in a semi-circular area of loss at the top of each of those pages that slightly extended into the edges of the writing, making it difficult to read a few areas. The final interior page (the one with "FADE OUT" and "THE END" at the bottom) had much more substantial paper loss in the top right. There is paper loss in the top right of the back blank cover, but it is solely blank paper. The owner of this script located a complete example of the script and made photocopies of the final six pages (the ones where the writing was affected by the paper loss), and put those photocopied pages onto the back of the script, so that it could be easily read.
