Date Sold 5/14/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A Vintage Vinyl Record Album (measures 10 1/2" x 12" [27 x 30 cm]; contains two 78 RPM records) (Learn More) Woody Woodpecker is the animated cartoon bird created by Walter Lantz & Ben 'Bugs' Hardaway in 1940 for Walter Lantz Animation Studio. At first, the voice of Woody was supplied by Mel Blanc, but after several other people filled that position, Walter Lantz' wife, Grace Stafford, got the job! A balloon featuring the character has long been a staple of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and he has a star on on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also appeared in many comic books. Condition: fair to good. The record album has a 20-page Woody Woodpecker story bound in, and someone ripped out the 20th page. Also, there is crayon writing on one of the sleeves, and both sleeves have some tears or small paper loss. We have no way of verifying if the records are playable, but they appear to be.
