An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Silver Spurs, the 1936 Ray Taylor cowboy western ("Story by Charles Alden Seltzer") starring Buck Jones, Muriel Evans, Bruce Lane, George French, William Lawrence, Robert Frazer, J.P. McGowan, George 'Gabby' Hayes, and Silver. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this scene card, and that example was only in "poor" condition! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has pinholes and faint scuffs scattered throughout, mostly only affecting the blank borders and dark background areas. There was some scuffing in the lower left of Jones' shirt and someone performed touch up to that area. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card.
