An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

An Afternoon Tee, the 1924 silent sports golf slapstick comedy short ("A Reg'lar Kids Comedy") starring Eugene Jackson, Spec O'Donnell, Monty O'Grady, Turner Savage, and Maxine Tabnac. Obviously, the Reg'lar Kids were an imitation of the super successful Hal Roach "Our Gang" shorts, which had just began a couple of years earlier. There were six Reg'lar Kids comedies in all in the mid 1920s, but they never achieved a lot of success, and they were produced by M.J. Winkler, who also produced the "Alice" Walt Disney shorts. This short stars black African American Eugene Jackson, who soon after this short was hired away by Hal Roach, to become one of the Our Gang members, and he played "Pineapple" (Farina's older brother) in six of the Our Gang shorts.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1924 movie paper from this short is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this short until we received this lobby card and one other from the same short (and we are auctioning both of them in two separate auctions)! Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. There is small paper loss in the bottom of the left blank border, and there are a few faint smudges around the edges. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
