Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this one-sheet, which has a wonderful image of angelic Kay Francis as Florence Nightingale. We did previously auction a "local theater" one-sheet (perhaps from a company like Woolever Press), but that had a simple image, and in now way compared to this wonderful poster! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the middle crossfold, with a piece of tape on the back of the top 4" of the vertical fold. There was a tiny bit of paper loss in Francis' forehead, but otherwise, there was minor wear on all the folds. There were many scattered small areas of paper loss in the bottom right of the poster, primarily in the right half of the bottom credits and in the bottom white background area, but affecting the bottom of the "GEL" of "ANGEL". Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. A really talented restorer performed excellent restoration to the above defects, which, as noted, were primarily in the bottom right corner, and the poster displays wonderfully (see our super-sized image).
