An Original 1969 Vintage Theatrical Folded Domestic Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) If...., the 1968 (released in the U.S. in 1969) Lindsay Anderson English counterculture school revolution thriller ("...which side would you be on?") starring Malcolm McDowell (billed as "introducing Malcolm McDowell"), Christine Noonan, Richard Warwick, David Wood, Robert Swann, Arthur Lowe, Peter Jeffrey, Mona Washburn, Geoffrey Chater, and Anthony Nichols. Note that this movie was originally released with an "X" rating in the U.S. due to its extreme violent content (some of which involved fairly young children). After an appeal, the rating was lowered to "R". Given today's concerns about school violence (and after major incidents like Columbine), one wonders what rating this movie would get if it were released today! Also, it is clear that Lindsay Anderson was influenced in making this movie by the 1933 French classic, "Zero For Conduct". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
