Adventure! ...and a love that was bred in the flames of it all!"; "The screen's greatest excitement!"; based on the novel by James Street; about the owners of a large plantation in Mississippi at the start of the Civil War, and they run into many problems when they refuse to join either side!) starring Van Heflin ("as 'Keith Alexander'...the nation's most dangerous man!"), Susan Hayward ("as 'Morna Dabney'...love's most daring rebel!"), Boris Karloff (as Tishomingo, a Native American Indian!), Julie London (in her fourth credited movie role!), Ward Bond, Richard Long, and Whitfield Connor (billed as "introducing Whitfield Connor")
