Date Sold 2/17/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 9 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Boston Blackie Goes Hollywood, the 1942 Michael Gordon California detective mystery crime thriller ("A fabulous rogue rocks a fabulous town with fabulous adventure!"; "Thrills rock the glamour capital!"; "Crooks see all the stars in Hollywood... when Blackie connects with a RIGHT TO THE JAW!"; "When Blackie goes Hollywood ...A blonde goes wild ...And jewel thieves go to jail!") starring Chester Morris (in the title role as Boston Blackie), William Wright, Constance Worth, George E. Stone, Lloyd Bridges, Lloyd Corrigan, and Richard Lane. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 9 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 9 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made no effort to find the best four stills in the lot, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on most of the black and white lots). We tried to note when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we may not have caught that every time, so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
