Cronin, Author of 'The Citadel'") starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Thomas Mitchell, Vincent Price, Rosa Stradner, Roddy McDowall, Edmund Gwenn, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Peggy Ann Garner, Jane Ball, James Gleason, Anne Revere, Benson Fong, Philip Ahn, and Richard Loo. Note that A.J. Cronin was a doctor who had health problems in 1930. He wrote a book called "Hatter's Castle" in 1931, and it was so successful that he stopped practicing medicine and wrote a series of books, all centering around doctors, including "The Citadel" and "Keys of the Kingdom", all of which were made into movies!
