If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that Warner Bros. re-released this great movie in 1957 (after James Dean's tragic death, which made him a superstar), with posters that were similar to those of the original 1955 release, but with slightly altered images or taglines. The movie paper from this 1957 re-release are far more rare than that of the 1955 first release, likely because it did not play in as many theaters. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Also note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). Note that the collector who owned this poster displayed it on his wall, and when he took it down, he rolled it and stored it in a tube! It has been that way for many years, and we will send it to the new owner rolled in a long tube. Condition: fair. The theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). The poster has many paper tape repairs on the back, more so on the borders, but also on parts of the folds (covering pinholes and tears in the borders, and separation on the folds. The entire poster has darkened and there are many creases scattered throughout the image, with some tears and small stains. The poster would greatly benefit from professional restoration, but if one is forgiving about these kinds of defects, it could be displayed on a wall, as the original owner did for many years. In any event, please bear in mind the poster's many defects and the cost of restoration before placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
