They weren't looking for a fight. They were looking to belong."; "S.E. Hinton's classic novel about youth."; "Based upon the Novel by S.E. Hinton"; "Francis Ford Coppola Presents The Outsiders") starring C. Thomas Howell ("as Ponyboy"), Matt Dillon ("as Dallas"), Ralph Macchio ("as Johnny"), Patrick Swayze ("as Darrel"), Rob Lowe ("as Sodapop"), Diane Lane ("as Cherry"), Emilio Estevez ("as Two-Bit"), Tom Cruise ("as Steve"), and Leif Garrett ("as Bob"). Obviously, Coppola was not only a great director but also a genius at picking future stars!
