Date Sold 8/6/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Randolph Scott was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s (although he had some uncredited roles in the very late 1920s). He played a wide variety of roles in the 1930s, but later in his career starred mostly in cowboy western movies. He had a very memorable final role in Ride the High Country, opposite Joel McCrea! Some of his other movies include: Seven Men From now, My Favorite Wife, The Tall T, and Ride Lonesome. Most people believe that he was a gay man, but because of the attitudes of the time, he had to "remain in the closet" (and there are some who dispute that he was gay; he was married twice, and had two adopted children, but also lived with Cary Grant for twelve years!). Scott passed away in 1987 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Randolph Scott! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
