Croisieres Etoile Du Sud (literally translates to "Star of the South"), the 1934 French travel poster encouraging travel aboard Southern Star Cruises. This poster features great art of a giraffe's silhouette containing samples of other African attractions, with an airplane flying overhead. This art was used on earlier French travel posters as well. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a 1969 commercially sold exact reproduction of this 1934 French travel poster. It is such an exact reproduction that examples of this poster have often been auctioned as being from 1934! Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It has some tiny white dots scattered throughout which look to be part of the printing. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
