Important Added Info: Note that what is offered here is a remarkable find, and surely one of the most rare Walt Disney (or Mary Poppins) collectible items! When this movie first opened, one of the items a theater could buy was this "miniature standee display kit". It was shipped to the theaters that ordered it in a 16 1/2" x 36 1/2" x 1" box (similar to that used for regular standees), and the box has "your Mary Poppins miniature standee display kit" printed on it (see our image). Contained in the box are two each of four standees that measure 6" x 18", plus a double-sided hanging sign measuring 6" x 18", but intended to be folded down the middle, with a string attached to it that went to a cardboard cross. There is also a two part "canopy display" and a printed instruction sheet that measures 15" x 25" and has full information about the kit with images on one side. We know from the instruction sheet that the kit originally contained three sets of each of the standees, but this kit contains two of each, so obviously, something happened to the other four. While the kit is not complete, it is still remarkable that so much of it is present. In the past, we have auctioned two sets two standees (of Van Dyke and Andrews), and each of those sets of two sold for around $200, and one was only in "fair" condition. The winner of THIS auction will receive EIGHT standees, plus the other components of the kit that are present, plus the instruction sheet, plus the printed box! Note: We have 12 images of the pieces of this standee, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 12 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 2. Condition: very good. As noted above, not all of the components that were originally in the display kit are present. Read the above carefully to see exactly what is present (and see images of all the items that are present).
