Lee Great Depression Wall Street Stock Market high finance romantic love triangle melodrama ("A Paramount all talking picture"; a wild story of a Stock Market trader who corners the market in copper and makes a fortune, becoming known as "The Wolf of Wall Street", and then gets out at the top, selling short, and he becomes rich, but many people are ruined by his actions; one of them is the fiance of his maid, and she is furious, and tells him that his wife has been cheating on him with his partner, and he decides to get revenge by completely bankrupting his firm; even though it means that he himself is ruined, it also means his partner and his wife have nothing, and he walks out on both of them!) starring George Bancroft (in the title role as "The Wolf"), Olga Baclanova (billed as "Baclanova"), Nancy Carroll, Paul Lukas, and Arthur Rankin. Note that this had been thought to be a "lost" film (which means that no complete surviving copies are thought to exist), but a copy was found and is now touring in exhibitions. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster is incredibly rare. We auctioned it in 2015. The person who purchased it in that auction has now re-consigned it to us, so it is still the only half-sheet from this movie we have ever auctioned! A talented restorer gel backed the poster (meaning they backed the poster onto a gel material) and they then performed excellent restoration to the defects described below, and then removed the gel backing, so that the poster still exactly looks and feels like an original poster (and it is!), with no backing at all. The restoration was done really well, and the poster displays really well! Condition: very good. The poster was gel backed (see above). This particular poster had creases and tiny bits of paper loss on the folds, with paper loss in the center of the top border, and some smudges and small tears in the borders. The poster was gel backed by a talented professional and expert restoration was performed to the above defects. The poster looks fantastic, and it has had truly minor touch up, and best of all, it still completely looks and feels like an unrestored poster! Learn More about condition grades
