An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Coogan's Bluff, the 1968 Don Siegel New York City police crime melodrama ("Clint Eastwood gives New York 24 hours... to get out of town!"; "A man with no fear takes on a killer with no pity in a city with no heart!"; "Story by Herman Miller"; about a western cop in New York City) starring Clint Eastwood (in the title role as Coogan), Susan Clark, Don Stroud, Tisha Sterling, Betty Field, Lee J. Cobb, and Melodie Johnson. Note that the character that Eastwood plays in this movie bears a lot of resemblance to his later Dirty Harry, and that this movie was the inspiration for the TV series "McCloud"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned two in all our years of auctioning and the last time was in 2013 (and other than one front of house card we have not auctioned ANY other movie paper from the U.K. for this movie!). Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered throughout (but it is somewhat more noticeable on back than on the front, except in lighter-colored areas). It has tape stains around the edges (the original tape was not used for any restoration purpose) and some fold and border wear. It is otherwise "all there" and it is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that much or most of the slight discoloration can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the very rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
