An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Woman to Woman, the 1923 Graham Cutts English silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("Adapted from the play by Michael Morton"; about a wealthy man who loses his memory in World War I after having an affair with a French cabaret star; he takes a new identity, and marries, not knowing that he left behind a child with the cabaret star; years later, he goes to one of her performances, and seeing her brings back his memory!; she becomes gravely ill, and she dies after a performance, and she leaves her son to be raised by her former husband and his new wife) starring Betty Compson, Clive Brook, Josephine Earle, Marie Ault, and Victor McLaglen (as an uncredited "Nubian slave"). Note that Alfred Hitchcock met Alma Reville on the set of this movie (she was the film's editor). Hitchcock had been hired solely to design titles for the movie, which got him a writer's credit, but during the course of filming, he managed to also become its art director and, ultimately, its assistant director, making it the first film he helped direct. Two years later, he would fully direct his first movie, "The Pleasure Garden", and the following year, he would marry Alma Reville!
