An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Phantom of the Opera, the 1943 Arthur Lubin Universal musical horror thriller ("The Screen's Classic of Terror!"; based on the classic novel by Gaston Leroux, and a remake of the silent classic featuring Lon Chaney Sr.) starring Nelson Eddy, Susanna Foster (as Christine), Claude Rains (in the title role as Erique Claudin, the Phantom of the Opera), Edgar Barrier (as Raoul), Leo Carrillo, Jane Farrar, J. Edward Bromberg, Fritz Feld, Hume Cronyn, and "a cast of thousands"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Karl Godwin Condition: good. There is clear tape over part of three blank borders. Someone removed it from the part of the fourth border, causing surface paper loss. There is water staining in the bottom left blank corner under the tape and some brown dot stains scattered in other parts of the blank borders. There are creases along the top of the card that extend into the image in a few areas. There is a diagonal crease in the top right corner that goes through Rains' hat. There are faint scuffs scattered throughout the card. The card has had no restoration, and certainly, a talented restorer could greatly improve its appearance, but please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this card.
