If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had minor wear on the folds. It had smudges, stains, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges. Someone lightly drew glasses on Abbott with a pencil. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, especially the pencil glasses on Abbott, which the restorer did not touch (see our image). Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
