An Original Vintage Folded Dutch World War II Poster (measures 35 1/4" x 47 1/2" [90 x 121 cm]) (Learn More)

Duitschland Wint (literally translates to "Germany Wins"), the 1940s Dutch World War II (WWII) poster (printed in Holland by the Nazi occupying forces), telling of the superiority of German military might and their ability to sink Allied shipping. Note that this poster features Siegfried art of a sinking ship with German tanks and planes on the hull. The Nazis were trying to establish how superior the Japanese and German military forces were to those of the Allies, and they produced posters like these in countries they occupied to reinforce that idea.
Artist: Siegfried
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Dutch poster, and that was 6 years ago! There are very few Nazi produced posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Europe during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that Nazi posters from the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war!

Condition: good to very good. There are many small tape repairs on the back of small border tears.
