An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 29" x 43 1/2" [74 x 110 cm]) (Learn More) Twenty Million Sweethearts, the 1934 Ray Enright romantic musical comedy ("The laugh-crammed lowdown on radio!"; about a singing waiter who becomes a singer on radio, and every woman in America falls for him, which jeopardizes his relationship with his beautiful young girlfriend, played by Ginger Rogers) starring Dick Powell, Pat O'Brien, Ginger Rogers, The Four Mills Brothers, Ted Fiorito and His Band (along with "The Debutantes", three pretty women who sang with Fiorito), and Allen Jenkins NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and slight separation and some scuffs on parts of the foldlines. It had three diagonal tears in the lower left, entering the arm of the girl (see our image). It had some small paper loss in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
