An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #6 ("The Alligator Attacks") Movie Lobby Card (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Beasts of Paradise, the 1923 William James Craft South Seas jungle action adventure thriller serial starring William Desmond, Eileen Sedgwick (one of the only true cowgirl stars of the silent era, she had starred in serials for years, and when westerns became popular in the mid-1920s, she starred in several of those), William Gould, Ruth Royce, and Margaret Morris. Note that Universal Studios had established an incredible zoo in Hollywood in the 1910s, and they regularly used many of their "wild animals" in their movies, because audiences loved seeing them. This movie was set in the South Seas and had many jungle sequences and also underwater sequences, including shark fights and a submarine!
