R48 Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) The Ghost of Frankenstein, the 1942 Erle C. Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. the poster was paperbacked; it appears that prior to paperbacking the poster had pinholes, smudges and tears in the blank borders, and the person who restored it has painted over much of the borders to "even them out" (most people would not be aware of this restoration if it were not shown to them); it appears there was very little wrong in the image area except for some scattered smudges, stains, and creases, which were expertly touched up during the paperbacking process; there are very faint surface scuffs (mostly across in the lower left of the poster), which are truly only noticeable when the poster is turned to the light; When one examines this poster from inches away, one can find traces of areas that were expertly restored, but from any distance away the poster looks wonderful and it in no way has a "heavily restored" feeling to it. I would think any collector would be happy to have this poster in their collection! Learn More about condition grades
