eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7m257 MONTANA WC '50 artwork of cowboy Errol Flynn pointing gun, Alexis Smith Date Sold 1/12/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Montana, the 1950 Ray Enright cowboy western melodrama ("Their bullets riveted a new star to the flag!"; "New triumph from Warner Bros. in TECHNICOLOR"; "Based on a story by Ernest Haycox"; the old story of cattlemen vs sheep herders, with the cattlemen doing all they can to prevent the sheep from eating the grass their cattle need, but with a twist, because the lead sheep herder is an Australian who somehow ended up in Montana!) starring Errol Flynn, Alexis Smith, S.Z. Sakall, Douglas Kennedy, James Brown, and Ian MacDonald. Note that Errol Flynn was in fact Australian, and the script writers worked that into the plot, which allowed him to speak with an Australian accent (possibly for the first time in his movie career!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good. There are pinholes, tears, and stains around the edges of the card. Learn More about condition grades
