R32 Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

One A.M., the 1916 Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin) silent slapstick comedy short (about a drunken homeowner who has a difficult time getting around in his home after getting back late) starring Charles Chaplin, and Albert Austin. Note that Charlie Chaplin is the only actor appearing in this short, except for a very brief scene with Albert Austin as a cab driver who drops him off.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. The poster is linenbacked; it appears that prior to restoration the poster was probably mounted to a board or piece of masonite and almost surely was covered with either varnish or shellac; the borders had been either trimmed or were tattered, as the person who restored the poster has put new paper on the borders that is an excellent match to the image area of the poster; the restorer minimized the effect of whatever covered the face of the poster, but it is still noticeable and somewhat distracting; of course one could hope to find a better condition example of this poster with a classic (and unusual) image of Chaplin, but I do not believe there IS another example of this poster anywhere!
