A Folded Czech Special Poster (measures 25" x 37" [64 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) Prague International Fair (literal translation of the Russian title), the 1926 Czechoslovakian poster promoting a trade fair (Prazske Vzorkove Veletrhy) to take place in Prague from March 21st to the 28th. This poster features F. Jakub art of the Greek god Mercury with the lesser coat of arms of Prague in the background. Note that this poster was printed in various languages. Artist: F. Jakub Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned the Cyrillic version of this poster! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that this poster is one of a collection of 36 similar posters that we were consigned (and are currently auctioning in 36 separate auctions). They include Russian, Uzbek, Ukranian, and Latvian posters, and some of them are movie posters, and others are circus posters, with a few other kinds of posters. All of these posters are incredibly rare, and on the vast majority of them, we have never auctioned them before, and it may be many years before we auction any of them again. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one or more of these posters, all of which have very striking images! Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded across the middle and it has tiny tears and a few tiny bits of paper loss in that fold. It has a 6" L-shaped tear in the lower left border that has tiny surface paper loss on part of the tear and has tape on the back of it. It has a diagonal crease along the bottom of the poster.
