Date Sold 4/9/2024Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Naked Witch, the 1967 Andy Milligan sexploitation horror thriller melodrama ("Burning Passions! Ecstasy beyond your wildest dreams!"; "Clothes cramped the style of... the Naked Witch"; "Scenes such as you've never seen before!"; "Brutality! Violence! Madness!"; "She made Fanny Hill seem as innocent as Mary Poppins!"; produced by William Mishkin) starring Beth Porter, Robert Burgos, Bryarly Lee, Lee Forbes, and Maggie Rogers. Note that Claude Alexander, director of the 1964 film with the same title, mentioned in his DVD commentary that he succeeded in getting Mishkin to change the title of this movie to The Naked Temptress, which is why many posters for this film feature studio-issued title snipes. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned one example of this extremely rare poster in all our years of auctioning (and that one sold for $410!). Note that in recent months we auctioned a collection of sexploitation one-sheets that included many rare titles from a single collector, and last month we auctioned the last of that collection. NOW, we have been consigned a different collection which includes even more very rarely seen titles! In this set of auctions we auctioned the first group of one-sheet from this new collection, and there are 132 different ones(all are in separate auctions), and they include a number of posters that we have only auctioned once or twice before. There are also a number with great images or taglines. This is an excellent opportunity to add one or more of these rare one-sheets to your collection, and, like the previous collection we auctioned, this consignor also only had one of each title, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again! Condition: good. The poster was folded somewhat oddly, resulting in completely irregular folds and there is a large snipe glued at left (see our image). After proper restoration the very rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
