Francis starred in several long-running Broadway plays including: Erminie, The Merry Monarch, and The Bachelor's Baby. He passed away in 1935 at the age of 81. Also note that this auction also includes the printed envelope this item originally came with (both were glued to a sheet of paper that was kept in an album). Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
