An Original Vintage Linenbacked Special Esquire Magazine Fold-Out Poster (measures 13" x 18 3/4") (Learn More) Anita Ekberg was a Swedish sex symbol and statuesque blonde actress from the 1950s to the 2000s. She is surely best remembered for her role in Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". Some of her other movies (mostly U.S. and Italian) include: Boccacio 70, Zarak, Valerie, and Screaming Mimi. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 83. Artist: Mike Ludlow Important Added Info: Note that in the mid-1950s, Esquire Magazine ran a series of fold-out posters of the cinema's very sexiest ladies, under the heading of "Esquire's Lady Fair", in very provocative poses (most were photographs by famous photographers, but this shows a great sexy painted image by artist Mike Ludlow, and we don't know how many of these were art, but it seems very few). This was Esquire's response to the centerfolds in the recently created Playboy Magazine. The person who owned this fold-out poster (which he had removed from the original issue of Esquire Magazine) had it linenbacked so he could display it on his wall! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Condition: very good to fine. The poster was tri-folded, and there was tiny paper loss in the bottom border (where the poster was removed from the magazine). Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
