An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) A Double Life, the 1947 George Cukor ("Two men lived and loved behind this face!"; nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) mental illness crime film noir ("Written by Ruth Gordon and Garson Kanin"; about a Shakespearean stage actor who begins to confuse his stage roles with his personal life, with disastrous results!) starring Ronald Colman (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Signe Hasso, Edmond O'Brien, Shelley Winters, Ray Collins, Philip Loeb, Millard Mitchell, Joe Sawyer, John Derek (in a bit part; his third uncredited movie role!), and Paddy Chayefsky (in his first movie role!). Note that Shelley Winters was fourth billed in this movie, but it was the part that brought her fame! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There are creases, smudges, faint scuffs, and a few small tears around the edges of the poster. There are tiny dot water stains scattered throughout the image (mostly only noticeable in the solid yellow areas). There is a tiny V-shaped tear in the middle of the "L" of "LIFE" in the title (repaired with a tiny piece of tape from the back). Otherwise, the poster is in pretty good condition!
