An Autographed 2" x 3 3/4" [5 x 10 cm] Album Page (Learn More) Jim Backus was an actor from the 1940s to the 1980s. He is best remembered as "Thurston Howell III" in the TV series "Gilligan's Island" and as the voice of "Mr. Magoo" in many cartoons. Some of his movies include: Father Was a Fullback, Rebel Without a Cause, The Opposite Sex, and The Horizontal Lieutenant. He passed away in 1989 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: This album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Jim Backus (he added "Mr. Magoo")! It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a longtime collector and dealer. In the 1970s and 1980s, he wrote to stars and asked for autographed photos and index cards, and he also sometimes purchased signed items from other dealers. He does not have a certificate of authenticity for this item, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
