Artist: Reynold Brown Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed (approximately 2" from the top blank border) and it now measures 17 1/4" x 25 1/4" [44 x 64 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was partially neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster also had minor wear on the vertical fold and a few small tears in the borders. It had faint water staining scattered in parts of the borders, with water staining in the right of the bottom border, extending up into the small credits. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Also, after it was backed, it was slightly roughly handled, and it acquired two creases in the bottom right corner that extend into the bottom right blank corner of the poster (see our image).
