Rocky, the classic 1976 John G. Avildsen (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Philadelphia Pennsylvania boxing sports action romantic melodrama ("His whole life was a million-to-one shot."; "Written by Sylvester Stallone"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; produced by Irwin Winkler) starring Sylvester Stallone (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Rocky Balboa), Talia Shire (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Adrian), Burt Young (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Carl Weathers (as Apollo Creed), Burgess Meredith (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Mickey"), and Butkus Stallone (as Butkus the dog!). Note this film was released late in 1976 and all of the first release U.S. posters have a 1977 NSS number on them.

Important Added Info: Note that these records are for "radio spots", which were sent to movie theaters to give to their local radio stations to get publicity for the about to be shown movie, and are much more rare than commercial records for those movies. The records are labeled with what the individual spots contain, so see our super-sized image to see what radio spots are included. Also note that both records are contained in a single paper sleeve. We don't know if they were originally sent in any additional packaging. The auction contains the two records in a single blank white paper sleeve.

Condition: very good. We have no way of verifying if the records are playable, but they appear to be.
