Ian Fleming was an English journalist and author from the 1930s to 1964. He is best known for the James Bond 007 series of spy novels which have been turned into a long-running series of films. Starting in 1953 with Casino Royale, Fleming produced 14 Bond books and 9 short stories. His experience as a naval intelligence officer in World War II and his career as a journalist helped to provide detail and depth to the novels. The 007 stories rank among the best-selling series of fictional books of all time and have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. In 2008, The Times ranked Ian Fleming 14th on its list of "The 50 Greatest British Writers Since 1945". He passed away in 1964 at the age of 56.
Important Added Info: Note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Note that we are not rare book dealers, but we have auctioned thousands of movie related hardcover and softcover books. When we do so, we picture the cover of the book, the title page, and the page with the printing information, so that should allow everyone to quickly identify whatever information they need as to what edition of the book it is (and the images should also give you a good sense of the exact condition of the book in addition to what we wrote below). If you have a correction or addition to the information we list, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. The back cover of the dust jacket has a tear at the top of the left edge and creases across the top 1" of the back cover of the jacket. Otherwise, the jacket and the book are in pretty good condition.
