An Original Vintage Linenbacked French World War I Poster (measures 31 1/4" x 47 1/4" [79 x 120 cm]) (Learn More) Banque Privee (literally translates to "Private Banking"), the 1920 French post-World War I (WWI) loan poster with text that translates to "Subscribe to the reconstruction loan". This poster features art of the symbol of Victory with her arm around a young boy carrying a basket of fruit, and a ruined village in the background by A. Lelong Artist: A. Lelong Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had slight darkening around the edges but was otherwise in really nice condition prior to linenbacking. After being backed, it was slightly roughly handled, and there are now some faint horizontal creases scattered down the left of the poster, extending around 6".
