Adolfi melodrama (based on the play Jules Eckert Goodman; about an older musician who marries a pretty young woman, and after an accident leaves him deaf, his friends talk openly about him and his marriage, but then he learns to read lips, which causes him to "overhear" things that cause him to misunderstand how his wife feels about him) starring George Arliss, Violet Heming, Bette Davis (in an early role), Andre Luguet, Louise Closser Hale, and Donald Cook.
